The Departments of African American and African Diaspora Studies (AAADS) and English offer an interdepartmental major that allows you to pursue the multidisciplinary study of historical and contemporary connections among Africans, African Americans, and other New World black communities.
The interdepartmental major is designed for students who want to pursue two areas of study but do not want to limit their coursework in other areas by having to take all of the classes necessary for the completion of two majors.
