Navigating Conferences as a Graduate Student

Location: Ballantine 305
Time: 12:30-2:00p

The Ivie League, IU's Rhetoric Society of America chapter, is hosting a Q&A session on attending conferences today from 12:30-2:00 in Ballantine 305. This event will feature faculty and graduate students and will be oriented toward giving newer graduate students a handle on what going to conferences in rhetoric/composition is all about and how to approach the experience. The first part of the event will feature the round table members providing expertise and then discussing personal perspectives on how they have come to approach going to conferences and what to get out of them.

Although this event features graduate students and faculty in rhetoric, much of what is discussed has wide applicability to this aspect of our professional development - so all are welcome! Additionally, we will have free lunch from Mother Bear's starting at 12:15. Come for the pizza, stay for the sage wisdom!
