D.A. Lockhart makes his home in Three Fires Territory. He is the author of This City at the Crossroads (Black Moss Press 2017) and Big Medicine Comes to Erie (Black Moss Press 2016) His work has appeared in numerous journals including the Malahat Review, Hawai’i Review, OSU’s The Journal, the Windsor Review, and Contemporary Verse 2 and in the anthology Because We Have Lived Here (Black Moss 2017). Lockhart has received numerous grants for his work from both the Ontario Arts Council and the Canada Council for the Arts. He is a member of the Moravian of the Thames First Nation.
