Course Description

ENG-W311 Pre Requisites: ENG-W103 or ENG-W203

The art of nonfiction requires a delicate balance between craft and truth, between fact and the tools of fiction (setting, plot, character development, etc.) to convey something specific, significant, and “true” to the reader in an artful way.  In this class, you will build upon your writing skills by studying and writing three modes of creative nonfiction--the personal essay, the lyric essay, and literary journalism.
