Please join us Thursday, October 4 at 7:00 PM at the Lilly Library for a special lecture by Leslie S. Klinger, editor of The New Annotated Frankenstein. Klinger is considered to be one of the world’s foremost authorities on Sherlock Holmes, Dracula, H. P. Lovecraft, Frankenstein, and the history of mystery and horror fiction. He is the editor of many books, including the three-volume set, The New Annotated Sherlock Holmes.
This lecture celebrates our ongoing exhibition, “Frankenstein 200: The Birth, Life, and Resurrection of Mary Shelley's Monster.”
The lecture begins at 7:00, but join us early for our usual First Thursday festivities, beginning at 5:00. You can tour the Frankenstein exhibition, chat with the curator, and talk to our librarian mediums, who will be holding a very special book séance to channel the spirits of some of the weird and wonderful items in our collections. As usual, we'll have our button-making machine in full swing, so you can make a button to show your devotion to your favorite book or monster.
